• Improve language skills
• Appropriate ways of dealing with frustration and anger
• Asking questions appropriately
• Initiating conversation and/or play with peers

• Making Friends
• Understanding feelings of self and others
• Turn taking

What else should I know?

• Group sizes are kept to 4 students and 2 teachers. Exceptions to this can be made in situations where the teachers feel that the students within a particular group would benefit from 5 or 6 children
• Every group is different! This is because the children make the class what it is. Every group is specifically created around the needs of the children within that particular group.
• Sessions are 90 minutes and the groups run in 12 week cycles.
• The technique of positive reinforcement is the key component of all sessions.

Schedule:

Sessions are offered at various times throughout the week. However, it is important to note that children are only placed within groups that are appropriate and compatible. Once interest is expressed, we will have you make an appointment to some in for a very informal assessment of your child free of charge. We will then together decide on the most compatible group. If at that time we do not have a group that we feel is an appropriate fit, we will then put your child’s name on a wait list and will work on forming a group that will suit your child’s individual needs.
