The music and movement class uses rhythm, music and harmony to increase children’s awareness of their own bodies and the world around them. Name recognition, rhythmic visualization and gross and fine motor skills are taught and reinforced by a musical curriculum. The curriculum combines original songs with old favorites, pop music, world beats and recorded sounds with live instruments.

A little bit about Chava Mirel:

Chava is a professional musician and music teacher in the New York area. She specializes in using music to aid in socialization, to teach teamwork and individuality, and to build self-esteem. She has 18 years of experience in teaching children and has taught all ages from infants to adults. In addition to teaching music and movement classes, she also teaches private lessons and performs regularly: singing alone with her guitar or fronting various bands in the New York and Connecticut areas.
